Sheffield weather: Date Met Office is forecasting temperatures to exceed 30°C this week
The Met Office has issued a forecast predicting a significant warming trend across Sheffield during the week of 6–11 July, with daytime temperatures rising substantially above seasonal norms. The period will be characterised by predominantly dry conditions and extended sunny intervals, with the most intense heat concentrated midweek.
Temperatures will climb progressively from the low 20s early in the week, reaching the high 20s by Wednesday before peaking at 31°C on Thursday, with Friday and Saturday maintaining elevated levels at 30°C and 28°C respectively. The forecast has prompted the RNLI to remind residents that despite warmer air conditions, water bodies remain cold enough to induce shock responses, presenting a potential safety hazard for swimmers.
