## Key points

- Former Wednesday player linked with European move
- New Sheffield Wednesday signing reportedly close
- Neither transfer is confirmed

## Summary

The report says a former Sheffield Wednesday player described as a flop could be heading to a European club, while Wednesday are close to completing a new signing. It matters because both developments could reshape the club’s squad during the transfer window.

The proposed departure remains a transfer prospect rather than a confirmed move, and the incoming player’s deal is also nearing completion rather than finalised. The article presents the two stories as separate pieces of transfer business affecting Sheffield Wednesday’s plans.
