British artist Shygirl has released "Alyse," her first new solo single of 2026, marking the start of a new musical era after a busy stretch of collaborative and on-screen projects. The track follows her 2025 compilation Club Shy Room 2 and appearances earlier this year in Charli XCX's The Moment and Madonna's Confessions II – The Film, signalling a return to focus on her own output after a period dominated by guest and screen work.

Described as an abrasive, ominous club track, "Alyse" was written and produced alongside Karma Kid and JD Reid, with composition help from Colleen, who released Libres avant la fin earlier this year. The single arrives with an intense accompanying music video based on an original story and script by Shygirl and George Smale, directed by Francesco Loy Bell and Oliver Bell.
