Sick Of It All frontman and co-founder Lou Koller has died aged 59. His death is significant to the hardcore scene because he led the influential New York band for nearly four decades and was widely regarded as one of the genre’s defining vocalists.

The band announced the news in a statement, with Koller’s bandmates describing their loss as overwhelming. He was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in 2024, prompting the cancellation of touring, and Sick Of It All had been due to mark its 40th anniversary in 2026.
