Sienna Spiro Plays Intimate Benefit Concert for North Shore Animal League

Variety ·

British singer Sienna Spiro performed an invite-only benefit concert in New York for North Shore Animal League America, supporting awareness and fundraising for the no-kill animal-rescue organisation. The event highlights the continuing use of small live music events to support charitable causes, while giving Spiro another prominent platform shortly after releasing her debut album.

Around 150 people attended the Soho Sessions performance, where the 20-year-old played songs from her new album, “Visitor”, alongside covers including “Hard to Handle”, Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop (Dat Thing)” and “Autumn Leaves”. Soho Sessions founders Greg Williamson and Nicole Rechter say their charity concerts have raised more than $50 million; previous beneficiaries have included Everytown for Gun Safety, Music Will and mental-health support in Hawaii.
