Six backstage crew members were taken to hospital after being struck by a piece of heavy equipment while dismantling the stage following Ed Sheeran's concert at Ford Field in Detroit. The incident occurred on 29th August as workers were walking to a break area, and fire department dispatch audio referred to it as a "forklift injury accident". None of the injuries are considered life-threatening, though the episode has prompted a formal review at the venue.

Of the six hospitalised, two were initially in serious condition and four in stable condition, with one worker kept in overnight for observation. Ford Field said it had begun a full review in cooperation with authorities and the tour's production partners, declining to speculate on the cause, and thanked the Detroit Fire Department and EMS for their response. The accident followed Sheeran's 28-song set, closing with "Bad Habits", as part of his Loop Tour, which began in January and is due to conclude with two Mexico City shows on 12th December.
