Slain NJ therapist’s husband hires lawyer as investigators confirm ongoing contact in homicide probe

Fox News · 2 hours ago

The husband of Brooke Hanlon, a 35-year-old New Jersey therapist and new mother who was found stabbed to death at her home in Chester on 6 June, has hired a lawyer, authorities have confirmed. Investigators from the Morris County Prosecutor's Office say Conor Hanlon has been in contact with them since his wife's killing, though the case remains unsolved with no named suspects or arrests, making developments involving those close to the victim of particular public interest.

The medical examiner attributed Hanlon's death to "multiple sharp force injuries". A Computer-Aided Dispatch log obtained by Fox News shows a 911 call was made at the home at 4.29pm on 6 June, initially reported as a cardiac or respiratory arrest; by 4.42pm a dispatcher had logged it as a "suspicious death", and Major Crimes detectives were notified within the hour. Investigative activity at the property continued until 12 June. Prosecutors said they have been in touch with several family members but declined to say whether Conor Hanlon has been cooperative. The family has largely stayed silent to protect the integrity of the investigation.
