Sleep Token’s 2023 album Take Me Back To Eden has been certified Platinum in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America. The milestone confirms the album’s role in turning the previously cult British band into a major international force in modern metal.

Released through Spinefarm Records on 19 May 2023, the album’s campaign was boosted by singles including the viral hit The Summoning, which itself received Platinum certification in April. Sleep Token’s Spotify monthly listeners rose from under 300,000 in January 2023 to more than 1.5 million a month later, while the album became Spotify’s most-streamed metal release of 2023, ahead of Metallica’s 72 Seasons. Its Platinum status reflects more than one million US album-equivalent units, with streaming now contributing to the calculation; the record has surpassed two billion streams.
