## Key points

- Apple has renewed *Slow Horses* for seasons 7 and 8.
- Season 7 adapts *Bad Actors* and centres on Diana Taverner.
- River and Sid survived the poisoning, but no release date is set.

## Summary

Apple has renewed *Slow Horses* for seasons 7 and 8, with a teaser for season 7 released after the season 6 finale on 21 October. The renewal means the series will continue after a finale that left River Cartwright apparently poisoned, setting up a major question for viewers.

Season 7 will adapt Mick Herron’s *Bad Actors*, in which Diana Taverner returns to the field as Russian counterpart Vassily Rasnokov secretly arrives in London. Shirley Dander will also have a prominent role as Jackson Lamb sends her to rehab. Apple has not announced a release date; the article says River and Sid were poisoned but survived, and expects River to return in season 8, based on *Clown Town*.
