Snap has introduced Specs Intelligence, a standalone AI service designed to work with its redesigned augmented-reality glasses as well as mobile and desktop apps. It is intended to provide proactive, productivity-focused support by learning about users’ goals, routines and relationships through connected services, marking a broader AI push for Snap.

The service could prepare reminders and useful information for meetings or trips, while organising tasks into context-specific areas such as family and work. Specs users will be able to access information in their field of view using the command “Hey Specs”. A limited US preview is available through the iOS Specs app, while fuller Mac access will initially be invite-only; Snap says user content will not train its models, support advertising or be accessible to its staff.
