‘SNL’ and ‘The Rookie’ Stars Join ‘Family Guy’s New Spin-Off
Kenan Thompson, Vanessa Bayer and Melissa O’Neil have joined the voice cast of Stewie, the forthcoming Family Guy spin-off centred on the Griffin family’s infant. The series is expected to launch in the 2027–28 television season, marking the franchise’s second spin-off after The Cleveland Show and extending Fox’s investment in the long-running animated comedy.
The programme has received a two-season order, with 15 episodes planned per season, and will air on Fox before becoming available to stream the following day. Seth MacFarlane will reprise his role as Stewie, who starts at a new preschool and introduces devices that bring a science-fiction element to the setting; Thompson will play his friend Royal, Bayer his teacher Morgan, and O’Neil will make her voice-acting debut as Wanda, Stewie’s intellectual counterpart and love interest.
