Saturday Night Live has promoted Keri Powers to sole head of its talent department and Rebecca Schwartz to producer. Powers will oversee bookings for hosts, musical guests and guest stars, following Brian Siedlecki’s departure after 30 years in the role; the changes come as the programme begins its 52nd season.

Powers joined SNL in 2014 after working at Paramount Pictures and CAA, while Schwartz has been with the show since 2015 as part of its talent team. The new season opens with Jalen Brunson hosting and Katseye performing, alongside limited cast changes including Chloe Fineman’s departure, two new featured players and promotions for Ashley Padilla and Jane Wickline.
