The third episode of "Saturday Night Live U.K." Season 2 opened with a satirical sketch featuring Prime Minister Andy Burnham and the Manchester band Oasis. The cold open begins with Burnham (played by George Fouracres) discussing his UN speech with Secretary of State Angela Rayner (Celeste Dring), making light of threats from Russia. Liam and Noel Gallagher (Jack Shep and Freddie Meredith) then approach Burnham under the pretence of needing a guitarist, but quickly reveal their Russian accents and claim Oasis is a Russian psyop. Burnham responds with absurdist reasoning about leadership decisions, eventually "singing" along to a rendition of "Wonderwall," undermining the supposed threat to British security.
