‘SNL UK’ Sets Season 2 Return on Sky
Saturday Night Live UK will return to Sky and NOW for its second season on 12 September, following a successful first run earlier this year. The renewed series will continue the British adaptation of the long-running US sketch-comedy format, with live weekly broadcasts featuring topical sketches, celebrity hosts, musical guests and a UK version of Weekend Update.
The new season will comprise six episodes, with further instalments planned for early 2027. All 11 original cast members are returning; Laura Claxton has been promoted to co-head writer alongside Jonno Johnson, while Liz Clare remains director. Tina Fey’s first-season episode drew more than 220,000 Sky viewers in Britain, although viewing figures declined afterwards.
