Los Angeles-based girl group Katseye made their Saturday Night Live debut with performances of “Animal” and “Hootie Frutti”, from their new EP, Wild. Only four of the six members appeared, as Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza are currently on hiatus, highlighting the pressures accompanying the group’s rapid rise.

Released in August, Wild also includes “Pinky Up”, “Bel Air” and “That Way”. Formed two years ago through the Dream Academy talent competition, Katseye have since appeared at Coachella and the American Music Awards, and recently began a 31-date world tour across Europe, North America and Mexico. Laforteza and Bannerman have cited mental health concerns, while Kelly Rowland advised the group to prioritise rest, self-care and mutual support.
