Snoop Dogg Biopic Enlists This ‘BMF’ Star to Play Dr. Dre: ‘L.A. Kid Playing an L.A. Legend’
Universal Pictures has cast Myles Bullock Be, known for his role in Starz's "BMF", to play Dr. Dre in the upcoming Snoop Dogg biopic, titled "Snoop". The casting completes the film's central pairing, as "Outer Banks" actor Jonathan Daviss was previously announced to play Snoop Dogg himself, with the pair depicting one of hip-hop's most iconic rapper-producer partnerships.
The 35-year-old Bullock, whose credits also include "Runaways", "Criminal Minds" and the 2023 reboot of "White Men Can't Jump", confirmed the casting on Instagram, writing "LA Kid playing an LA Legend". "Snoop" is directed by Craig Brewer, produced by Brian Grazer, and is set for release in US cinemas on 6 August 2027. Dre and Snoop's real-life collaboration dates back to around 1992, when Dre signed Snoop to Death Row Records, producing hits including "Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang", "The Next Episode" and "Still D.R.E."; Snoop's father figures, Master P, has also revealed his son Hercy Miller is seeking to play Snoop in the film.
