EastEnders actor Shane Richie is due to appear in court charged with drink-driving after being arrested in Harlow, Essex. Essex Police said officers responded to a report of a suspected drink-driver in the Church Langley Way area shortly before 23:20 BST on Wednesday and arrested a man at the scene, later authorised to charge Richie with the offence.

Richie, 62, whose real name is Shane Roche and who is from Tadworth, Surrey, is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court on 9 September.
