## Summary

A former New York high school teacher and soccer coach, Ryan McCaffery, has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to soliciting nude images from girls under 14 and sharing an explicit video online. The case highlights the breach of trust involved when an adult in a position of responsibility exploits children.

Investigators said McCaffery used a fake Snapchat account, ‘C_chambers77’, to contact young girls and sent them images of his genitals while demanding nude pictures. The investigation began with an internet crime tip and uncovered a sexual online chat with a 13-year-old dating to 2022; prosecutors also said he tried to access child sexual abuse material. He will serve five years of post-release supervision.
