- She is a leading Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial candidate.

## Summary

Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial frontrunner Francesca Hong has faced renewed scrutiny over a since-deleted social-media post in which she reportedly called for Thanksgiving to be cancelled. The resurfaced post has become a point of attack for critics seeking to portray the Democratic Socialist of America-backed candidate as politically radical ahead of the election.

Hong is described as the likely Democratic nominee for governor in Wisconsin and has received backing from the Democratic Socialists of America. The article also notes that former Republican governor Scott Walker criticised her rhetoric, while Hong has sought to distance herself from the earlier remarks.
