Sonos Ace Ultra over-ear headphones show up in FCC filing
Sonos may unveil new over-ear headphones called the Ace Ultra at a planned September product launch, according to a recently spotted FCC filing. The filing suggests the headphones could add Sonos Voice Control, potentially supporting the company’s wider push to make artificial intelligence central to its strategy.
The heavily redacted filing indicates an over-ear design similar to the 2024 Sonos Ace, but with five colour options: Greige, Shadow Black, Agave, Blush and Sand. The original Ace launch was affected by Sonos’s troubled app redesign, and its promised TrueCinema spatial-audio feature arrived a year late; the Ace Ultra could therefore be an important test of the company’s ability to deliver a smoother product rollout.
