## Key points

- Sonos adds homescreen Presets for room and volume.
- US waitlist opens 6 November for the 27voice beta.
- The app update brings swipe controls and setup checks.

## Summary

Sonos is updating its app with custom Presets that let users start music in a chosen room at a chosen volume from the homescreen. The update also opens a waitlist for a US beta of its 27voice AI assistant, adding more natural ways to control playback and speakers.

US users can join the waitlist on 6 November, with access beginning on 12 November. The assistant can handle requests such as playing an album described by its cover, and Sonos says users will eventually be able to create up to 10 custom agents. The update also adds track skipping by swiping, rearrangement of favourites and an iOS System Health feature, as Sonos continues efforts to address problems following its 2024 app redesign.
