## Key points

- Sony expects enough PS5 RAM supply through the year.
- Supplies cover the expected GTA 6 demand surge.
- GTA 6 is scheduled to launch in November.

## Summary

Sony says it has secured sufficient RAM supplies to maintain PlayStation 5 production for the rest of the year, including around the planned launch of Grand Theft Auto 6. This matters because the game is expected to drive exceptionally high demand for PS5 consoles, while wider pressures on memory supply could otherwise have affected availability.

The assurance suggests Sony does not expect component shortages to constrain console sales during a crucial period for the platform. GTA 6 is currently scheduled for release in November, and its arrival is widely expected to encourage upgrades and new purchases; Sony’s preparations are intended to ensure enough hardware reaches retailers.
