Sony Pictures International Productions Spain is making its first short-form fiction series, “Los Hilos del Miedo”, for Prime Video Spain. The eight-part psychological thriller adapts suspense stories by Salvador Gutiérrez Solís that became popular on X, reflecting broadcasters’ and studios’ interest in turning social-media-native material into professionally produced streaming content.

Each episode will run for about five minutes, and the project follows Sony’s mobile-first pilot “El Garaje”, which it says received 28.4 million TikTok views, over 262,000 likes and nearly 300,000 interactions. Sony is also working with Madrid’s TAI Arts University School, giving young creators roles in the technical and artistic production; no release date for Spain has been announced.
