Sony has unveiled three new ULT Tower party speakers, replacing older models in its lineup, with a headline feature allowing them to be wirelessly chained together using Bluetooth Auracast technology for multi-room audio. This marks the first time Auracast, previously exclusive to Sony's headphones, has been built into its speakers, making it easier to set up synchronised sound across multiple rooms, though the new speakers cannot connect wirelessly to older Sony models.

The range comprises the flagship ULT Tower Max (£1,500/$1,500), featuring a rear woofer, four tweeters and 360-degree Party Sound technology; the mid-range ULT Tower 7 ($650), with IPX4 water resistance and a 30-hour battery; and the compact ULT Tower 5 ($450), offering around 20 hours of battery life. All three include XLR, RCA and USB-C ports for DJ equipment, support Sony's ULT MIC1 microphone for karaoke, and feature four quick-access EQ presets (ULT1, ULT2, FLAT and LIVE) for on-the-fly sound adjustments.
