Pratt posted a photograph from Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, saying he wanted to “bring back Hollywood” and criticising California’s production policies, Canada, the UK and Hungary. He had recently lost out on a place in the Los Angeles mayoral runoff, while California operates a $750 million incentives programme; Deadline reported that requests for comment from both Pratt and the White House went unanswered.
