## Key points

- The anniversary box set contains 160 tracks across 14 CDs.
- Much of its material has appeared in earlier reissues.
- An early, Victoria Beckham-led song is a notable rarity.

## Summary

The Spice Girls’ 30th anniversary release, *The Singles Collection*, packages familiar music in an expensive box set rather than delivering the reunion many fans inferred from the band’s social media teasers. The review argues that the release risks alienating supporters who have already bought recent reissues and anniversary merchandise, raising questions about how heritage acts sell nostalgia.

The collection contains 14 CDs and 160 tracks, including singles, B-sides, remixes and demos; the CD edition costs £94.99, while the seven-inch vinyl set costs £179.99. Much of the material has appeared in earlier anniversary releases, but one notable rarity is “Do You Think About Me”, an early song led by Victoria Beckham. The review praises the group’s hit songs while criticising the amount of recycled material.
