A four-and-a-half-minute trailer for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has leaked online, prompting co-writer and producer Christopher Miller to criticise the release of unfinished footage. The leak gives viewers an early look at the final instalment of Sony’s animated trilogy, which is not scheduled for cinemas until June 2027.
The footage reportedly includes the opening scene and trailer-style clips, continuing the cliffhanger in which Miles Morales is held by his Earth-42 counterpart and Uncle Aaron. Miller said he was “not a fan” of leaks involving material that is not fully rendered; Sony did not immediately comment. The film is due on 18 June 2027, after Across the Spider-Verse earned more than $690 million worldwide in 2023.
