Standing on the Corner have announced SOTC ("II"), an official studio version of an album they surprise-released on YouTube under the title Standing on the Corner: II last month. The Brooklyn experimental collective, led by Gio Escobar, appears to be reissuing the project through a proper label after the earlier YouTube upload, with the exact differences between the two versions left unexplained, likely due to sample clearance issues.

SOTC ("II") will be released on 11 September via XL Recordings, with most guests from the YouTube version, including Danny Brown, Styles P and poet Sonia Sanchez, retained, while Solange is newly added as a collaborator. Other contributors include the Warlockettes, Ladybug Mecca, Bubba Dupree and Claudette Ortiz. A single, "Mr. Postman, Wait!", has been released alongside the announcement, and the album's 15-track listing has been shared, though XL declined to clarify how it differs from the original online release.
