Collider · 2 hours ago

Paramount has announced a new Blu-ray box set collecting all 79 episodes across the three seasons of Star Trek: The Original Series, released to mark the show's 60th anniversary. The set arrives on 8 September 2026, exactly six decades after the programme first aired on NBC in 1966, a date now celebrated as "Star Trek Day".

Standard Blu-ray and DVD editions will be sold wherever physical media is available, while Amazon is offering an exclusive version with deluxe collector packaging, a set of lobby cards showing notable and behind-the-scenes moments, and a miniature "Tiny Vinyl" record featuring Alexander Courage's theme and the show's sound effects. Created by Gene Roddenberry and starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy and DeForest Kelley, the series built a devoted following through syndicated reruns and grew into a major franchise. Fans also have the fourth season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which premieres on Paramount+ on 23 July. The collection is available to pre-order now.
