## Key points

- Adam Driver says The Hunt for Ben Solo is not happening.
- Disney executives rejected the proposed film about a redeemed Kylo Ren.
- The article argues the sequels neglected Rey, Finn and Poe.

## Summary

Adam Driver has said there will be no further Star Wars project about Ben Solo, confirming that Lucasfilm and director Steven Soderbergh’s proposed film, The Hunt for Ben Solo, was rejected. The decision ends fan hopes for the project, but the article argues that shelving it may be for the best because the sequel trilogy devoted too much attention to Kylo Ren at the expense of other characters.

Driver said studio executives Bob Iger and Alan Bergman turned down the idea, despite interest from Lucasfilm leaders. The proposed story would have followed a redeemed Kylo Ren, whose arc across the three sequel films was uneven but had potential; the article contends that Rey, Finn and Poe were more poorly served, and hopes the planned Rey film goes ahead.
