Marvel and Star Wars have announced their first-ever official crossover, a five-issue comic book series titled "Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles," despite both franchises operating under Disney's ownership for over a decade. Fans have pitched the idea of a crossover for nearly 50 years, but it had never materialised until now, marking a significant moment for both fanbases and Disney's cross-franchise strategy.

The series is set to launch in January 2027, with Entertainment Weekly releasing first-look artwork of the covers. The images depict iconic characters from both universes interacting, including Luke Skywalker facing off against Captain America, Darth Vader standing alongside Doctor Doom, and Wolverine teaming up with Han Solo, with additional appearances expected from Deadpool and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
