Dungeons & Dragons will launch a Star Wars crossover in 2027, announced during the D&D Vision Keynote at Gen Con 2026. It marks D&D’s adoption of Wizards of the Coast’s Universes Beyond crossover strategy and could bring lightsabers, the Force and Star Wars settings into the fantasy role-playing game.

Few details have been confirmed, but the crossover will form part of 2027’s “Season of Rebellion” and is expected to provide material for both players and Dungeon Masters. D&D has previously explored science-fiction through Spelljammer and Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, while Wizards published a Star Wars role-playing game in the early 2000s; a related Magic: The Gathering release remains speculative, despite reports of misprinted cards bearing an X-Wing symbol.
