Lucasfilm Publishing has announced Star Wars: Galactic Tales of Terror, a horror-themed deluxe comic collection due this autumn. It signals a more deliberate embrace of horror within the franchise, building on earlier frightening storylines while packaging them as a standalone anthology.

The oversized hardcover will collect Dark Horse Comics’ Tales From the Rancor Pit, Tales From the Death Star and Tales of the Nightlands. Written by Cavan Scott with various artists, the stories feature ghost pilots, undead Imperials and alien were-beasts; it is scheduled for release on 22 September.
