Fans of the Star Wars Jedi video game series will receive a new instalment this year, though not in the form many might expect. Rather than a third mainline game, the release comes as the third volume of the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order manga series, which is due to arrive in shops on 1 December. The news comes amid a busy year for gaming, with established franchises increasingly being adapted or expanded through games built on existing IP.

Developer Respawn has released two Star Wars Jedi games to date: Fallen Order in 2019 and Survivor in 2023, both following young Jedi Cal Kestis, played by Cameron Monaghan. A third video game entry has been confirmed to be in development, but there has been little update on its progress in recent years, leaving the manga as the next confirmed release for the franchise. It arrives alongside a string of other major 2026 gaming releases, including 007 First Light, Assassin's Creed instalment Black Flag Resynced, Marvel's Wolverine, and Grand Theft Auto 6.
