Star Wars Officially Continues ‘The Last Jedi’ With a New Spin-Off
Marvel Comics is launching a five-issue series, Star Wars: The Fall of Kylo Ren, that fills in the gap between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, showing how Kylo Ren consolidated power after declaring himself Supreme Leader. The films never depicted this transition in detail, so the comic aims to explain how a fractured First Order came under his control before events picked up again in the final trilogy instalment.
Written by Charles Soule with art by Will Sliney, the first issue's preview shows Kylo travelling aboard his TIE Silencer before contacting the Finalizer to assert his new authority. Meanwhile, at Hetzal Prime, General Hux and Admiral Pryde are shown clashing openly during a battle threatening the ship, hinting at the internal instability and rivalries Kylo will have to confront on his return.
