Rising country-pop singer Stella Lefty took part in Rolling Stone's "Song Shuffle" feature ahead of her debut performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago, a festival she has attended as a fan since she was 15. Speaking to the magazine, she discussed the eclectic mix of artists shaping her sound and mood, from Elvis Presley to Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and SZA, offering a glimpse into the influences behind her breakout single "Boston".

Her shuffled playlist included Elvis Presley's "Hound Dog", Fleetwood Mac's "Silver Springs" (which she called "liberating"), SZA's "Drew Barrymore", Calvin Harris's "Summer", Thomas Rhett's "After All the Bars Are Closed" and the Justin Bieber/Chance the Rapper track "Holy". She also namechecked current favourites including Audrey Hobert, Jordan Davis, Luke Combs and early Taylor Swift. Lefty's single "Boston" currently sits at Number Four on the Billboard Hot 100 and will feature on her debut album, Long Way Home, out 21 August; she also shared festival tips, urging fans to attend with close friends and wear comfortable shoes.
