The 1989 film adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary is receiving a new 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release on 6 October 2026, with pre-orders now open. The release renews attention on a long-running horror property that has had four screen adaptations and remains notable for its exploration of grief, loss and the consequences of trying to reverse death.

The story follows the Creed family after they move near a pet cemetery built on an ancient burial ground, where a hidden power can resurrect the dead with horrific results.
