## Summary

Musician Steve Lacy appeared to accidentally reveal a plot secret from Marvel's Spider-Man: Brand New Day during a red carpet interview at the film's premiere, ahead of its cinema release this Friday. Lacy attended the event because his song "oh yeah?" features in the movie, but when asked which character he was most excited about—without giving spoilers—he named "Jean," seemingly confirming actress Sadie Sink's previously undisclosed role.

The premiere took place on Monday night at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood for the film, the fourth Spider-Man instalment starring Tom Holland and the 38th entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Lacy described "Jean" as "the villain" with "a reason to her madness," fuelling online speculation that Sink is playing X-Men character Jean Grey. When pressed by the interviewer on whether he had let slip a spoiler, Lacy replied that he simply liked the character, and footage of the exchange has since circulated widely online.
