## Summary

A Yorkshire round-up features five uplifting stories, from a family whose women have served NHS patients across three generations to a dog rescued after falling into a hole. The accounts highlight community service, local achievement and efforts to preserve regional history.

Dorothy Henry moved from Grenada to Huddersfield in the 1950s and began a family tradition continued by her daughter Jacquelin and granddaughter Emma Fleary, now a midwife. Rescuers saved Freddie the Cocker Spaniel after a 9m fall during Storm Boelo; a Barnsley fish and chip shop owner was painted by an artist who has portrayed members of the Royal Family. Volunteers are restoring five vintage buses as East Yorkshire Motor Services marks 100 years, while Keighley pool team Breaking Bad won £10,000 after beating 200 teams.
