Police say a 32-year-old man tried to abduct a 13-year-old girl outside a petrol station in Miramar, Florida, on Monday. The girl escaped and ran inside the station to call 911, after a witness shouted at the man; police say the incident was captured on camera.

Authorities identified the suspect as Michael Polanco and arrested him after the witness and girl recognised him.
