## Summary

Netflix has officially announced *Other Worlds: A Stranger Things Adventure*, a live-action prequel set in 1950s Nevada, with a premiere planned for 2028. The confirmation gives a long-rumoured *Stranger Things* spin-off a title and release window, and places it before both the original series and the stage play *The First Shadow*.

A teaser sets the story on 19 April 1955 in Marion, Nevada, showing a deserted bicycle near a restricted area beneath an ominous disturbance in the sky. Kate Trefry is writer and showrunner; Joe Wright directs, while Matt and Ross Duffer co-created and executive produce. The series is described as a new story with new characters, but is expected to explain the mysterious rock young Henry Creel finds in Nevada caves and address other loose threads.
