## Summary

The Greatest is a Prime Video drama about Muhammad Ali’s early career, from winning Olympic gold in 1960 to defeating Sonny Liston for the heavyweight title in 1964. It places his rise in the context of racism and the civil rights movement, showing how his Olympic success did not protect him from discrimination in his hometown.

The first episode follows the young Cassius Clay’s return to Louisville, his family life and his move towards professional boxing. The series also covers his training with Angelo Dundee and his conversion to Islam, though this review says the storytelling can simplify Ali’s complex history. It recommends streaming the show, citing strong performances by Jaalen Best, Omari Hardwick and Dana Gourrier.
