Streaming Ratings: ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Claims First Ever Overall No. 1
The Big Bang Theory became Nielsen’s overall most-streamed title in the United States for the first time, recording 1.14 billion minutes watched during 27 July to 2 August. Its achievement is notable because the long-running comedy has been a major streaming performer for more than three years without previously topping the overall chart.
It was the only film or series to exceed one billion minutes, doing so for a third consecutive week. The Devil Wears Prada 2 ranked second overall with 911 million minutes following its Disney+ and Hulu debut, while Netflix’s The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare led original series with 864 million; Nielsen’s figures cover US television-set viewing only, excluding computers and mobile devices.
