Sub Focus to donate £1 for every ticket of UK tour to Save Our Scene and grassroots levy
Sub Focus will donate £1 from every ticket sold for his forthcoming UK arena tour to grassroots music causes Save Our Scene and the LIVE Trust levy. The move is intended to support smaller venues, which he says are essential for developing new talent and have been important to musicians’ careers, amid continuing concerns about venue closures and the declining viability of regional touring.
The drum and bass producer, Nicolaas Douwe Douwma, will bring his Circular Sound production to London’s O2 on 26 March and Manchester’s Co-op Live on 27 March, his first arena dates for the show. The £1 levy model was backed by the Government in 2024 and the LIVE Trust launched in January 2025; the grassroots sector reportedly subsidised live music by £76.6 million in 2025, while the wider live music industry contributed a record £8 billion to the UK economy.
- Sub Focus will give £1 per ticket to grassroots music causes.
- His first Circular Sound arena shows are in London and Manchester.
- The donation supports venues facing continued financial pressure.
