## Key points

- Sheffield United seek a second straight win at Preston.
- Kitching is suspended; Bamford’s return remains possible.
- Phillips and Seriki’s fitness shape the predicted line-up.

## Summary

Sheffield United are preparing to visit Preston North End, hoping to build on Friday’s win over Wrexham and secure back-to-back victories for the first time this season. The article offers a predicted starting XI, with several selection decisions shaped by injuries and suspension.

Liam Kitching is unavailable after receiving his fifth booking, while Patrick Bamford could return from a shoulder problem. Kalvin Phillips is expected to start if his ankle has recovered; Femi Seriki is not considered ready to start, so Hamza Choudhury is tipped to remain at right-back. The suggested XI also includes Mark McGuinness in defence, Romelle Donovan in midfield and Tom Cannon alongside Ben Brereton Díaz up front.
