NBCUniversal has commissioned Summer House Canada, the first international adaptation of Bravo's popular reality series, which is now ten seasons into its US run. Produced by Vancouver-based independent company Lark Productions, the ten-part series is already in production in southern Ontario and will launch exclusively on NBCUniversal's reality streaming platform Hayu in 2027. The move signals the growing global appeal of the Summer House format and Hayu's push to expand its slate of original programming.

Following the original's format, the show will gather a group of friends who share a house on summer weekends, mixing romance, careers and personal drama. The Canadian edition will be set among the forests and lakeside cottages of Muskoka, Ontario, a getaway spot for wealthy Torontonians and a busy filming location for productions such as My Old Ass, The Hunting Wives and Heated Rivalry. No cast has yet been announced. The commission follows Hayu's first original series, The Real Housewives of London, which was recently renewed for a second season, while Lark Productions has existing ties to NBCUniversal through titles including Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent.
