Suno launches Studio 2.0 with MIDI support, an AI chat bar… and no download limit

Music Business Worldwide · 2 hours ago

Suno has launched Studio 2.0, an update to its browser-based music-production platform aimed at professional users. The release adds MIDI tools, an AI chat assistant, improved stem separation and new effects, while allowing Premier subscribers unlimited exports from Studio despite wider download caps announced for Suno’s music-generation service.

MIDI, described by Suno as Studio’s most requested feature, can be imported, recorded and edited, and can also prompt new AI audio generations. The beta chat bar can generate instruments and vocals, assist with plugins and organise sessions; Studio 2.0 also supports recording live instruments and exporting 32-bit/48kHz multitracks and stems. Suno Studio launched in beta in September 2025 after the company acquired WavTool, and the update follows a new licensing alliance with BMG amid continuing copyright disputes with other music-rights organisations.

  • Suno Studio 2.0 adds MIDI, AI chat and production tools.
  • Premier subscribers retain unlimited Studio exports.
  • The launch follows BMG licensing and ongoing copyright litigation.
