## Key points

- England defeated India by 125 runs at Trent Bridge, the largest T20 defeat margin in India's history
- Pace bowlers Jofra Archer (3-29) and Josh Tongue (4-28) dismantled India's batting, restricting them to 76 all out in 11.4 overs
- England leads the five-match series 2-0 and has already secured at least a series draw

## Summary

England produced a dominant performance at Trent Bridge, scoring 201-7 with Phil Salt's aggressive 70 and Sam Curran's unbeaten 41 providing the backbone of their innings. India faced an insurmountable challenge from the outset as England's pace bowlers exploited favourable conditions through sustained short-pitched bowling.

India's batting lineup proved unable to withstand the hostility, crumbling to 76 all out in just 11.4 overs. This represents not only their second-lowest total in T20 cricket but also their heaviest defeat margin in the format's history. With England's commanding 2-0 series lead, the outcome of the remaining matches appears largely settled.
