## Key points

- Disney+ commissions first “Battle of Fates” spinoff
- Series explores Korean spiritual traditions across the country
- Release date has not been revealed

## Summary

Disney+ has commissioned “House of Fates”, a Korean reality series spun off from the divination competition “Battle of Fates”. The order is Disney+’s first franchise spinoff from the show and reflects the streamer’s effort to build on the original series’ strong local launch and broaden its Korean variety offering.

Filmed across Korea, the programme will follow the three highest-placed fate readers from “Battle of Fates”, with occasional appearances from other contestants, as they visit sites associated with Korean spiritual traditions. They will take part in ceremonies, regional customs and communal meals, while discussing personal relationships and losses and experiencing shamanic rituals; the original 10-episode series became Disney+ Korea’s most-viewed series premiere in its first 12 days after launching on 11 February. No release date for “House of Fates” has been announced.
