## Key points

- Sweeney says England’s discipline must improve.
- England spent 118 Six Nations minutes short-handed.
- Friday ticket sales for the new finals weekend are challenging.

## Summary

RFU chief executive Bill Sweeney says England must improve their discipline, arguing they are the world’s second-best side with 15 players but fall well down the rankings when reduced to 14. The issue comes after a difficult Six Nations and a series of matches in which card offences left England short-handed.

England received eight yellow cards and one red across five Six Nations matches, spending 118 minutes with fewer than 15 players. They also finished a 45-21 defeat by South Africa with 13 men, while four second-half sin-binnings helped Argentina mount a near comeback. England begin their November campaign against Australia on Sunday; Sweeney also said ticket sales for the new Nations Championship finals weekend at Twickenham are proving challenging for Friday’s fixtures.
